Physical Characteristics of Lhasa Apso Dog
Lhasa Apso Dog (Definite Introduction)

The ideal body weight of a Lhasa Apso male dog should be 6-7 kg, and the female dog should be slightly smaller. The ideal Lhasa Apso male dog should have a shoulder height of 25-28cm, and the female dog should be slightly smaller. Dark brown eyes, neither too big and full, nor too small and sunken.
The head is heavily feathered, hanging down in front of the eyes, with a large amount of beard and moustache; the head is narrow, significantly concave behind the eyes, not very flat, but not arched or apple-shaped. The straight front face is of sufficient length. The nose is black, and the distance from the nose to the eyes is about 1/3 of the distance from the nose to the back of the head.
Ears: droopy, richly feathered.
Mouth and Tone: The preferred bite is a pincer bite or a slightly overshot bite. The muzzle is of medium length; a square muzzle is boring.
Body shape: The distance from the shoulder joint to the hip is slightly greater than the height at the withers, the ribs are well supported, the loin is thick, and the hindquarters and thighs are well developed.
Legs: The front legs are straight; the front legs and hind legs are covered with a lot of hair.
Feet: There are many feathers, round, similar to cat feet, with rich pads.
Tail: There are a lot of feathers, spirally curled on the back, and the ending may be tangled. A low and drooping tail is a serious fault.
Coat: Heavy, straight, hard, not woolly or silky, of sufficient length and very deep.
Color: All colors are acceptable, and the ears and beard may or may not be dark.
