The Morphological Characteristics of the German Wirehaired Pointer Dog
The German Wirehaired Pointer Dog ( (Definite introduction)

The ideal height at the withers for male German Bristle Pointer dogs is about 24 to 26 inches. Female dogs are slightly smaller, but should not be shorter than 22 inches. Because of its agility and endurance, the German Wirehaired Pointer Dog is used for hunting on the mainland and is a particularly outstanding working dog.
Morphological characteristics
Head

Head length is moderate.
Eyes: brown, medium size, oval surface, translucent and clean, drooping, medium-length eyebrows. Yellow eyes are not necessary. Ears: Round, but not very wide, hanging close to the skull.
Skull: Broad, but not very far beyond the occipital bone.
Stop: plain. Muzzle: Moderately long, with the bridge of the nose straight, broad, and parallel to the skull.
Nose: dark brown, nostrils wide. A freckled nose or a flesh-colored nose is a fault.
Lips: Slightly droopy, close to the jaw and bearded. Jaws: Rich and full, with teeth evenly spaced and fitting into each other well.
Bite: scissor bite.
Neck, Topline, Body
Neck: Of medium length, slightly arched and free of dewlap. Topline: You can notice a downward slope from the withers to the croup. Obviously lifted. Back short, straight and rich.
Waist: clean and slender. Croup: Broad and well rounded.
Tail: high position, raised when warning, victory line. Tail docking is approximately 2/5 of total length.
Forequarters
Shoulder blades slanted back. The forelegs are straight, with the elbows close to the body. The leg bones are flat and not round, rich, but heavy or rough, which contributes to its natural agility. Dewclaws often need to be removed. The paws are round and webbed, the toes are highly arched and close together, the pads are thick and brittle, and the nails are rich and quite heavy.
Hindquarters
The angle of the hindquarters is even with that of the forequarters. The thighs are rich and muscular. The hind legs are moderately angled at the stifle and hock joints and parallel to each other when viewed from the opposite side. Dewclaws often need to be removed. The feet are connected to the forequarters.
Coat
Functional just-coatThe textured coat is a distinct characteristic of this species. It must have the right coat and the right type. The coat protects against harsh weather conditions and, to a certain extent, is waterproof. The undercoat is thick in winter to protect it from the cold, but in summer the undercoat is so thin that it is almost invisible. The distinctive outer coat is straight, coarse, bristly and lies flat, about 1 to 2 inches in length. The coat should be long enough to protect the body from damage, but should not be so long that it obscures the curves of its appearance. The hair on the sides of the legs is slightly shorter, and the hair between the toes is of soft quality. The hair on the head is naturally relatively short and close to the skin. The hair around the shoulder blades and around the tail is thick and heavy. The hair on the tail is fine, and the underside is more distinctive, but not feathered. Eyebrows are strong, straight hairs. Beard and beard should be of medium length. Liver-colored pattern or liver-colored localized hair is slightly shorter than white hair. A short, smooth coat, a soft, wooly coat, and an excessively long coat are serious faults. Although a short, fresh coat is particularly important, puppy hair is shorter than adult dog hair. The coat is allowed to be well groomed and expresses its natural curves. Excessive whitewashing makes its appearance appear false, which is a serious shortcoming.
Color
Coat color is liver and white, often liver or white freckles, liver participle, liver or white freckles in pure liver or liver particolor It doesn't matter. The head is often liver-colored and occasionally has white veins. The ears are liver color. Darkness in all parts of the coat is a serious fault.
γ€€Gait
γ€€It needs to be evaluated in normal gait. The movement is open and smooth, with ample forequarters extension and strong hindquarters activation. The topline remains firm.
