barn//it HAS most definitely ARRIVED: Review

Apart from the eye bags that could carry your weekly shopping, your hair is usually the giveaway sign that you are a mum. A mum who sees the night as much as the day and uses dry shampoo to wash those neglected locks.

So, when I spotted barn//it on instagram I was all over a visit.  Who else but the main man himself, Andrew to lick my lost locks into shape. Andrew Trott-Barn, is not only a celebrity hair stylist, but has collaborated with a top team of hair, beauty and body specialists, to launch this new super salon on Manchester’s John Dalton Street.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first to see the finished salon, and it does not disappoint.

Screenshot_20170227-220034.jpgUpon arrival to the Manchester styled neon lit entrance, it has the best positive vibe. Coat in the cloakroom, and buggy parked in the buggy park a drink in hand before an expert cut and colour consultation.

I gave a pretty free reign to Andrew, who still made sure I would be happy with the style and colour he had planned. Before I knew it, we had the colour on, magazines in hand and the offer of a cocktail. Oh yes. A cocktail, and where you ask did the cocktail come from? Only the bar upstairs! The nail bar, is an actual bar. (Insert mini fist bump).

Not only does it have a beautifully styled hair salon, but over 5 floors you can have your hair done, nails done and if you fancy trying out some of their revolutionary products then enhance//it is your bag. Taking about bags, they could definitely sort my eye bags out.

One of the most impressive angles that this salon has over any other I have been to is how child friendly they are. I truly took this and tested it to its limits! Flo (3) sat on my knee during the most amazing hair wash ever, and feeding Edith was no problem at all. We had a good natter about breastfeeding, sleep deprivation and still getting out as a parent.

All in all I have never felt more at home in a salon. With the buggy parked up in the back buggy park, they would happily help me grab the essential toy/magazine and snack that I had abandoned in there and had apple juice on tap for Flo.

So a massive thank you to all at barn//it. You made my mum hair pretty bloody beautiful. I am already trying to find an excuse to go and sit at that nail bar!

Here is the final result!

Much love, xx
