Finding our little sanctuary with James Villas: Coral Bay Cyprus

Recently we spend a glorious 5 days in Coral bay, Cyprus. It was a last minute booking with James Villas for the accommodation.

For the last 4 years we have sampled the wonders of the UK. We have travelled the length and breadth of the country but we have missed the sunshine. Within the space of a few days we had the perfect opportunity to visit Cyprus, with the flights booked we needed to find a family friendly location and a villa. Luckily enough James Villas had some availability for the dates we had for our flights. With the range of villas that they have on their site we were spoiled for choice.

Using their website was very easy, the booking process and their customer service was faultless. We managed to reserve a highchair and cot at the villa, and they even offered car hire. We had already booked this separately along with our flights but next time I think I would go with them for a package holiday for the ease of having everything in one place.

So on the 25th March, as Manchester was a chilly 6 degrees we piled into the car and headed to the airport. We have always used the airports car park, as we find it so much easier than paying for taxis to and fro and we don’t have anyone to rely on to take us. So once parked up we checked in and headed through airport security. Before we knew it we was sky high enjoying iron bru and pringles and a swift 4 hours 20 minutes of keeping kids entertained we landed.

From the airport we had booked a car hire (which was a disaster let me tell you that story another day). James Villas had provided us with very accurate directions from the airport to the villa, with local numbers and quite frankly all the information your require when staying in a villa abroad.

With the directions they provided us with, we arrived very swiftly at our villa.

We stayed at the beautiful Coral Olympus Artemis in Coral Bay, Pathos.

First impressions were great. The villa was absolutely spotless.

With 4 bedrooms, 3 lounge areas and an open kitchen is was far bigger than expected.

The rooms feature air conditioning and bedrooms each have ensuites.

On arrival we found a lovely little note from James Villas, with two bottles of wine and a little welcome pack of food which included; coffee, tea, bread and a few other treats. They did leave milk and eggs as we didn’t give them our allergy information (we are allergic). So if you do book with them be sure to tell them any allergy info for ease.

It is a home from home, and it really feels that way. With security alarms, and set within a small collection of 4 villas on a cul-de-sac it feels safe and secure. Offering  free wifi and towel changes.

The pool was our favourite. With crystal clear water, it was cold and fresh first thing in the morning but warming up by mid-day. The perfect way to cool down on a hot day. One of the perks of staying in a villa is your own private pool.

Set conveniently a short walk (3 minutes) from a small selection of bars and restaurants, it is quiet enough to relax yet not isolated. A little further out (15 minute walk) you can find supermarkets and more bars and restaurants.

Only a 5 minute walk to the beach, it was perfect for little legs. Coral Beach is one of the most beautiful shallow beaches, perfect for smalls. The locals visit at sunset, the perfect time of day to visit the beach.

We had the most amazing 5 days, and would not hesitate to book with James Villas in the future.

I have put together a Vlog here which features the most beautiful sunset and our expeience of the whole holiday.

Hope you enjoy watching!

This was in collaboration with James Villas, as always this is my experience and all words and photos are my own!

Much love,

Sammi-Jo xx
